Have you ever wondered if God loves you? The answer is easy: Yes, God loves you!
Think of the best parent you know. God is like that, but even better! Even if you go far, far away from God, He is always happy to see you come back. God loves you very much and He wants the best things for you, like all good parents want for their children.
"Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if the child asked for some bread? Would you give your child a snake if the child asked for a fish? As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give good things to people who ask." Matthew 7:9-11 (CEV)
"Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth much more than birds?" Matthew 6:26 (CEV)
The Bible has many examples of how much God loves us. Here are some of the examples:
"You willingly forgive, and your love is always there for those who pray to you." Psalm 86:5 (CEV)
"But you, the Lord God, are kind and merciful. You don't easily get angry, and your love can always be trusted." Psalm 86:15 (CEV)
"I am sure that nothing can separate us from God's love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!" Romans 8:38-39 (CEV)
"Praise God in heaven! God's love never fails." Psalm 136:26 (CEV)
"God showed his love for us when he sent his only Son into the world to give us life. Real love isn't our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven." 1 John 3:9-10 (CEV)
When you feel ready, the Bible gives us a simple way to accept God’s love and have life forever:
"So you will be saved, if you honestly say, 'Jesus is Lord,' and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this and tell it to others [...] All who call out to the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-10, 13 (CEV)
